Mad Splatter Rooms

Recommended for ages 3+ years

Each individual will purchase their $10 per painter paint fee, which covers 3 cups of paint, brushes, borrowed suits and goggles. Each individual is also required to purchase a canvas, shirt or tote bag to enter the Mad Splatter Room, or be part of a shareable group canvas.

You must purchase a canvas, shirt, or tote bag from Mad Splatter in order to participate in the Mad Splatter Room.

Of course! If you know ahead of time that you would like to add X number of individuals to your booking, give us a call and we’ll be sure to plan ahead for them!

No, you are only required to purchase your paint fees per person when you make your reservation.

We recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Times book up quickly on the weekend and we cannot guarantee availability unless you have a reservation.

We supply paper to lie underneath paintings after your session. We also offer splatter boxes for purchase as well! We recommend laying pieces on a flat surface such as your trunk or floorboard for the ride home.

You can enter our Mad Splatter Room solo, or with a group of up to 20+ people!

It is required to purchase either a canvas, tote bag or shirt to enter the Mad Splatter Room.

We offer shareable canvas options for groups. Each individual must be accounted for by a shareable canvas or purchase an individual canvas in place of one.

Your booking is for 1 hour, which allots 15 minutes for suiting up, photos and instruction, 30 minutes of painting in the Mad Splatter Room, and 15 minutes for clean up. We recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your booking start time to allow for check in.

Yes! Kids are permitted to enter the Mad Splatter Rooms by themselves.

We do not ship canvases.

Yes, the paint is washable. However, we recommend wearing clothes you are comfortable getting messy along with closed toed shoes. It makes the process of suiting up much easier! We do not recommend wearing white!

It can take anywhere from 1 hour to overnight for your pieces to fully dry. It solely depends on how much paint is on your canvas, we recommend setting them in the sun to dry once you get home, as it makes the drying process much quicker.

Yes! We use non-toxic tempera paint. However, we do like to share that our paint ingredients do contain eggs for those who have egg allergies. It is also gluten free.

Our Mad Splatter Rooms consist of various sizes, with the largest room holding up to 20+ people.

Nope! Our Mad Splatter Room sessions are for you and your group only. The entirety of the hour’s booking is designed to focus on helping you and your group create memories together in a private Mad Splatter Room session.

Of course! We also take pictures for you with permission. Each room has a door with a glass window designed for viewing your group as they paint!

Pottery

No! We accept walk-ins anytime to paint pottery.

Pottery pieces are individually priced, ranging from $12 to $100+ all depending on the size and detail of the piece plus a $5 studio fee per person. That studio fee covers all your paints, glazing, and firing.

Our team works quickly and diligently to make sure your pottery is ready for pickup in a timely manner, but the best way to keep up with your pottery’s progress is to track it through our new Pottery Tracker! It provides real-time updates of your pottery’s completion stages.

We do not offer shipping, however, you can give permission for a friend or family member to pick up your pottery when it is ready if you are unable to do so.

Yes! Our pottery paint is completely washable.

Any paints or writing utensils aside from permitted pottery paints will burn off during the firing process. We DO NOT recommend using anything other than pottery paint, as we cannot guarantee the outcome of your painted piece.

You will receive a text following checkout on the day that you paint. Just click the provided link, which will take you to your pottery tracker! Check daily for new updates!

Most people can expect to spend 1-2 hours painting. If your piece is larger or more detailed it can take longer.

If you don’t finish your piece in one day, no worries! We can wrap it up for you. You’ll pay for your piece and that day’s studio fees, and take your pottery home. When ready, return with your piece and re-check it in at the register. You’ll only pay for additional studio hours during your additional visit.

Pottery pieces need to be glazed and fired and typically take about a week to get your pieces back. You’ll be able to view the status of your piece through our Pottery Tracker!

Yes! Pottery is safe for both food and drink. We recommend handwashing pieces.

Absolutely. We glaze all parts of your pottery, so regardless of if you paint the inside of your piece or not, it will be fully glazed and food-drink safe.

Definitely! You can paint one pottery piece between multiple people. However, each individual painting will be counted separately for their studio fees.

Absolutely! If you need some inspiration, we have plenty of available stencils provided. Ask our team members for them and we’ll be happy to retrieve them for you. We also have pottery designs for purchase. These are essentially a design that sticks on the pottery piece and can be painted directly over. We can create custom pottery designs as well!

If you break a piece, you are required to purchase it.

Your studio fee will include pottery paints, brushes, glazing and firing.

Of course! Please note that Mad Splatter is a drug-free facility. However, we do allow alcoholic beverages on the premises, except for hard liquors.

The pottery tracker is our NEW way to track your pottery’s progress in real-time! It stays up to do with the entire process, showing you whether your pottery piece is being glazed, fired, or is ready-for-pickup! After checkout, you’ll receive a link to our pottery tracker that is unique to your own piece(s)!

Canvas

Your studio fee will include paints, instructions, brushes and your canvas design of choice, if desired.

We provide acrylic paint for our canvases, which is NOT washable. Though we do provide artist’s smocks to help protect your clothing from paint, we recommend wearing clothes that you are comfortable painting in.

For canvas design, we offer 12×12 canvases, which fit kid’s designs on them, and 16×20’s, which fit our adult designs. Design sizes are not interchangeable, but kids can of course paint adult designs and vice versa.

Nope! We accept walk-ins anytime to paint canvases.

Though we offer 100+ canvas designs, which can be viewed in our online gallery, you are not required to use our designs and can free-paint if desired!

Absolutely. Two people can share a canvas and paint it together, however each person will be accounted for by individual studio fees.

The amount of time it takes to paint a canvas varies, but on average our canvas designs take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours.

Parties

Your party will last 2 hours total. The first hour is dedicated to your activity of choice and the second hour is dedicated to you and your guests enjoying food, drinks, gifts and time together!

We recommend ages 3 and up, but parties are great for all ages, both kids and adults! We have pottery, canvases and Mad Splatter rooms, so there’s an activity to meet everyone’s creative needs!

Parties require a minimum of 8 individuals total participating in your activity, but we can accommodate up to however many people you invite!

No, you must provide your own food and drinks for your party.

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring tablecloths, balloons, party favors, etc. We just ask that you avoid bringing confetti or noise-makers, as we want to be conscious of others painting in our store space as well.

Of course! You will have one to two hosts assisting with your party at all times. There will also be additional store staff available to help with any party needs!

Yes, you are welcome to arrive 15 minutes before your party’s start time. Your host will direct you to your party room and can assist with setting up if you’d like!

No worries! If guests are late, we can help them get set up with painting as soon as they arrive.

Yes! Parents are welcome to stay and watch, for our Mad Splatter Rooms, each is designed with a glass door to allow for viewing painters.

Yes. When you book your party, it will reserve a private party room for only you and your guests.

Our staff will take care of your party’s clean up!

Absolutely! If you’d like to combine activities you can either do so in your booking, or you can contact our team directly to specify what additional activities you would like to do. For an additional fee, you can also extend your party room time to account for these added activities.

Yes! We offer a handful of different party options, depending on whether you choose pottery, canvases or our Mad Splatter Room.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your party, you ask that you do so 72 hours before your party’s start time. We cannot issue refunds, but we can reschedule your party to an alternative date. 

If you need to change your guest count, just give us a call and we’ll make a note to prepare for the number of people expected to attend. We do require that 8 people minimum are painting for parties.

For Mad Splatter Rooms and canvas parties, you will be able take your paintings home with you at the end of your party time. For pottery parties, you will receive a pottery tracker that will provide you with real-time updates of your pottery’s completion progress.

No, Mad Splatter does not keep card information on file. You will pay the deposit for your party on the day you book and the remaining balance and any additional add-ons can be purchased in-store at the end of your party.
